Live Performance of the Week: “It’s a Small World” by Andy Kaufman

Andy Kaufman’s comedy was unlike that of anyone else–surreal, absurd, and dangerous. Here, he croons a classic Disney tune like a lunatic while backed by a group of angry black percussionists. Somehow, it’s hard to imagine mainstream television broadcasting this performance even today.
